During La Conner’s Art’s Alive festival, Gallery Cygnus is pleased to present the work of Michelle Bear, beginning Friday, November 6th, and running through December 24th. Please join us for the artist reception Saturday, November 7th, 5-8pm.
Michelle’s paintings are a poignant expression of loss. Her grounding is a sense of place, a habitat that’s damaged and still wildly beautiful. It is identified with wildlife that suffers, and she gives that loss a voice through powerful images that symbolize what we’re missing, what we’ve lost.
Michelle Bear lives and paints on Camano Island.
